Ham-Kam won again

Ham-Kam impressed as they turned 0-1 to 2-1 with one player less.

Ham-Kam showed strength and moral having to play practically the whole match with one man less on the field, and turned Bryne's lead into a 2-1 win.

Attendance: 3301

Booked: Juha Pasoja (Ham-Kam).Jørn Hagen, Kai Ove Stokkeland, Ronny Espedal og Marius Helle (Bryne).

Sent off: Vegar Bjerke (3)

Ham-Kam (4-4-2):
Ivar Rønningen - Truls Jevne Hagen, Knut Henry Haraldsen, Juha Pasoja, Vegar Bjerke  - Marius Gullerud, Markus Ringberg, Jan Michaelsen, Tommy Øren - Roman Kienast (John Anders Rise from 10.), Oluwasegun Abiodun (Espen Olsen from 78.)

The start of the game was to be a nightmare for Ham-Kam. Bjerke was sent off after having put down Bryne's Tommy Høiland as ast defender. It took Ham-Kam half an hour to get rid of the shock. By then, Bryne had taken a 1-0 lead.

After the red card, Arle Erlandsen decided to send in defender John Anders Rise and take Roman Kienast out to get the right balance back into the team. This meant that the home team continued in a 4-4-1 formation with the attacking responsibilty largely on Olawasegun Abiodun's shoulders.

Abiodun was a constant threat to Bryne's defence, with his pace and physical strength. The equalizer came after Abiodun had won a long pass from John Anders Rise. He sent the ball to Jan Michaelsen who in turn found Tommy Øren on the left. Øren put up Abiodun who in his second attempt managed to lure the ball into Bryne's goal.

Only five minutes later Abiodun scored again after Knut Henry Haraldsen's good through-pass. Olawasegun made no mistake alone with Bryne's goalie, and Ham-Kam were in the lead.

Bryne never managed to take advantage of their being one man more, and could not put any significant pressure on Ham-Kam.

After a rusty start, Ham-Kam now seems to have found some of the security in defence they lacked earlier in the season. Haraldsen's reclaiming of the central defending position and Ringberg's role in the midfield has been a success. The wins against Molde and Bryne, both candidates for promotion, might turn out crucial when Tippeligaen starts next season...
